Billings is the premier cultural and business hub for the Rocky Mountain region. Located in the south central part of our breathtaking state of Montana, Billings is a hub for business including manufacturing and retail, medical, and transportation. As the largest city in Montana and with a population of about 100,000, Billings has blossomed into a great cosmopolitan city.
In addition to its role as business hub, Billings is the medical and educational center for our region. The city's medical community provides the most advanced health care services in a four-state area. Two modern and fully-equipped hospitals, over forty clinics, and hundreds of physicians offer every major medical specialty and a complete range of medical services, surgical services, and emergency care. Billings is the home of three universities, Montana State University-Billings, Rocky Mountain College and Montana State University College of Technology which offer programs that draw students from throughout the region.
The recreational advantages of this area are hard to imagine. No matter what time of year you choose to visit, recreational opportunities abound. Hiking, backpacking, biking, camping, rafting, skiing, snowmobiling, fishing, hunting, and golfing are just a few of the activities enjoyed by visitors and residents to our area. Yellowstone National Park, in the city's backyard, is one of the most scenic and recreation wonders of the United States.
